"Danielle's Forbidden Love"

"Danielle's Forbidden Love"

Danielle had the best life, she was the oldest of 4 siblings. Danielle was 15, her brother John, 13, her sister Ella 11, and her youngest brother, Matthew 9. Both of her parents John and Alyssa had great jobs. Her Dad was a corporate lawyer and her Mom was a pediatrician. Her family was very well off, financially. Danielle and her 3 younger siblings went to Catholic elementary and high schools. They always got wanted they wanted, when they wanted it! Danielle’s family was also very smart. She ranked in the top 10 of her class and her younger siblings followed suit.
Danielle and her family had a summer house in the Hamptons. They would spend most of their summers in the Hamptons. Her parents allowed her to bring a friend with her each week, if she wanted, too. Her best friend in the world, Lynn would always go with her. Lynn and Danielle had been best friends since they were 3 years old. They met in nursery school. Since Danielle and Lynn were getting older, Danielle’s Mom would let them go on the beach near the water, without her. They would spend all day and most nights on the beach, hanging out, relaxing and meeting new people.
On a Tuesday morning, Danielle and Lynn spent the ENTIRE DAY on the beach. As they were lying on their beach chairs and reading magazines, this older guy, between the ages of 18-25 years old, was walking on the beach with 2 of his other friends around the same age. The 3 guys came over and sat down on their towel. The guys were obviously flirting with them. They lived in Manhattan and Steve’s family owned a house on the beach so they would spend their summers, just like Danielle on the beach.
Danielle and Lynn asked how old were they and they replied “21”. The guys didn’t care they were much older then the girls and the girls didn’t care or realize how much the age difference mattered. Danielle’s Mom met Steve, Mike, and Matt. She thought they were very nice, but watch out for Matt, she had an “uncomfortable feeling”. Danielle assured her Mom, there wasn’t anything to worry about. Steve, Mat, and Mike all knew how to drive, therefore they would drive into town to go shopping and go for lunch and dinner. Danielle’s Mom wasn’t thrilled with the fact that they drove, but she allowed it. It was very well-known that Matt liked Danielle and Steve liked Lynn. Mike would tag along with them. During the evenings they’d all hang out on the beach and watch the sunset and look at the stars. On the last weekend of the summer, Labor Day weekend, Danielle’s family had a BBQ at their summer house. Danielle’s Mom invited friends and family and she invited, Matt, Mike, & Steve. This BBQ was the last night, or saw they thought, that they would see each other ever!
On Wednesday, everyone started school again. Danielle was always excited about a new school year starting, but this year she really wasn’t. All she kept thinking about was Matt. Since they said good bye to each other the day before, on Tuesday morning, all she did was text him. Her Mom noticed some changes in Danielle since she had been hanging out with Matt, but didn’t say anything to her. As school approached the first full week, Danielle and Lynn were talking about Matt and Steve and Lynn liked him, but was able to focus, whereas Danielle was “in-love” him and couldn’t focus on anything else.
As school continued, she still couldn’t focus and stayed up late talking to Matt. She failed her first history test, and history was her favorite story. She hid the grade from her parents. Her parents did not approve of her constant IMing at all hours of the night and constant texting 24/7. Her parents sat her down and spoke to her about Matt. They asked her if they were going out and she said, “no”. She said they were close friends and denied all other questions about their relationship.
Matt and Danielle had made plans to go out together, but Danielle knew her parents wouldn’t allow it, therefore, she told them she and Lynn were going to hang out at Lynn’s house and just watch movies. Lynn went along with the plan and it worked. Danielle and Matt went out together to the movies. She made it back to Danielle’s house before her Dad picked her up. Later that night she went on line and they continued to IMing until her Mom came into her room about 3:45 in the morning. Her Mom got very annoyed and banned her from the computer. As the week continued Danielle continued to act different. Her parents got her school progress report and it said failing the class for 4 out of 7 of her classes and the other 3 classes she was on the border of passing and failing. She was grounded and not allowed to go out with “Lynn” that weekend, but
Danielle refused. Lynn was getting uncomfortable and nervous to keep doing this, but Danielle was her best friend, she felt she didn’t have any other choice because she knew Danielle would do it for her. Lynn and Danielle planned ways to meet up so Matt and Danielle could go out over the weekend. When Danielle came home from school that Friday her parents said she looked guilty, but didn’t question it.
Danielle told her parents she was going to the library all day to study with Lynn. Her parents allowed her to go with Lynn because they were going to study. Lynn met Danielle at the library around 12:00pm and she was due home at 6:00pm just in time for dinner. Matt met Danielle at the library at 12:15. Matt was taking her to a surprise, shedidn’t know about, except Matt told Lynn just in case of her Danielle’s parents. Danielle asked, “Where are we going?” and Matt said, “You’ll see.” It was a blustery Saturday afternoon. Matt took her to the mountains right outside of her hometown. As they continued driving to the mountains it started snowing, the further they were away from the town, the more it snowed. They finally got to their destination. It was near one of the cliffs on the mountain. They were just sitting, listening to music, and talking. By the time they got to the cliff of the mountain it was 2:30 already. Danielle asked, “Why did you take me here?” He replied, “This is where I take all my special girls.” Danielle felt very comfortable around him. As they were talking Matt started to make out with Danielle. She was okay, with that, but then he started over-stepping his boundaries. He was trying to do things Danielle didn’t feel comfortable with. She said, “Stop, I don’t want to do this.” He kept trying to, but he eventually stopped. He was annoyed, but just left the topic alone. It was about 3:30 now and Danielle knew she had to be home at 6:00pm for dinner and COULD NOT be late!
Danielle said, “We should get going so we don’t hit traffic.” Matt assured her they had plenty of time to get her back on time and just to relax. He suggested moving to the back seat to get more comfortable. As they moved to the back seat, Matt got closer, and Danielle felt more uncomfortable. As they were talking Matt made another move. He kept persisting and she kept trying to stop it, but he refused. She tried moving away from him and going back to the front seat, but he grabbed her back. She tried opening the back car door, but they were locked with the child-safety locks. The more she resisted the worse it was for her. He grabbed her, put tape on her mouth, ripped her clothes off, raped her, and killed her!
It was around 5:45 and Lynn was getting anxious and worried because she had to be home in 15 minutes and there was no sight of her. She tried calling her cell-phone, but it was off. It was now 6:15 and Lynn was very worried she didn’t’ know what to do because she wasn’t sure if she should go to Danielle’s house, call the police, or look for her herself. It was now 6:30 and Danielle’s parents called her phone several thousands times and thought it was strange it was off and called Lynn’s phone numerous times but didn’t answer it. Lynn finally answered the phone and Danielle’s parents came to the library. Lynn explained to them she went with Matt and they were going to a cliff on the mountain right outside of town and it was a surprise.
Danielle’s parents called 9-1-1 immediately! The police showed up the library and they explained the story Lynn gave them. They drove up to the mountain and couldn’t find anything because the snow had covered all of the tracks. They had dogs search through the mountains with police detectives and officers. Danielle’s family and Lynn were hysterical! They all followed the police up to the mountain. It was about 10:00pm and it was snowing really hard and 1 of the detective dogs found something. He kept barking. The detective went over and found a girl that fit Danielle’s description. Her parents came over to see if that was her. Unfortunately it was. Matt had raped, killed her, and threw her into the mountains.
Danielle’s entire family was in mourning! Lynn felt half responsible because she allowed her to go out with him when her parents thought she was with her. Two weeks later another girl was raped in the same way, near the mountains. They noticed similarities in the rape cases. One week after the second rape, they arrested Matt! They found him connected to 6 other rapes in the past 3 years. They found him in a bar. He was brought up on rape charges and first degree murder. His sentence was 25 years to life in jail. Six months later, the jury found him guilty of all charges.

Self Assessment

We started this blog the first week of school. It's now the first week of November and we're ending it. Even though the blog was at times very annoying, I think it helped a little. I was able to vent and just do whatever on it! It was mine! We were able to write anything on it and to think & write "outside the box". We were forced to be "creative" & "different" and nearly all of us had a negative compliant about it. Now that the blogs are ending I realized much more now that it helped me get out some tention, stress, nerves, and uneasiness I had "inside" me. We could be whoever we wanted to on our blogs and no one could say we couldn't. As Mike said all we had to was be 'FREAKY & HIS FAVORITE WORD 'ADVANT-GARDE' ". I've tried many different styles of writing such as poems, proses, long poems, short poems & much more. In the beginning I felt a little "weird and uneasy" about writing "freaky & dark" because that wasn't who I was. I don't mind writing different, but I didn't know how to, or at least I thought I didn't. Once I'd start writing it was much easier to continue. I think I deserve an "A" on my blog. I have 70 blog posts, I went outside my "comfort zone" & "outside the box", I tried different styles of writing, I have countless pictures, and I did all required pictures & blog posts.

My Friends<33

I LOVE my friends! I would do anything for them! I met a few people when I went on the Freshmen Leadership Conference at the Villa Roma Resort in upstate NY in July. I can see all of these people beginning my friends for life! The first person is Mike. I've known Mike since Freshmen year in high school.I remember class we had together was bio. Throughout our high school career we went back to Freshmen Camp as senior counselors, we participated in many school activities together also. We're always bothering each other like brother and sister, but when it comes down to it we're always there willing to help the other. Onjira is 1 of my other friends. We're both freshmen class presidents and joke around about EVERYTHING! We take thing seriously when we have to. She's so boy crazy it's funny! We're always laughing and making fun of each other. Sometimes all we have to do is look at each other and start laughing. SARAH! is one of my favorite people! She crack me up ALL THE TIME! I could be in the worst mood, but all she has to do is laugh or just stick her tongue out at me and I'll just start laughing. She's always there when I need to just talk and/or vent about anything & everything! She knows the countdown to Christmas (probably before a little kid does). And she's been counting, too! We started finishing each other sentences and say the same things! She has he best stories, especially about her & Chris. They're so cute & I haven't even met him yet (her bf). He's in school in New Mexico, 2100 miles away, but I feel like I know him. The latest person is BRUCE! We started out becoming friends at the VIlla Roma trip and then in September we started going out boyfriend & girlfriend. He's ALWAYS THERE FOR ME! When I just want to scream he's able to get me ot relax and alugh. Especially about "pulling-a-Jill". He's so cute & sweet. We've only been going out for 2 months, but it feels much longer. We only met in July, but I feel like we know each other for a year or 2. I can talk to him about anything and he always has a solution and an idea how to help. Mike, Onjira, Sarah, Bruce, & me are all good friends! We've all been friends since Villa ROma & it's kind of like 1 of our "little cliques".

NOVEMBER 4TH-ELECTION DAY!

Today was election day! I voted for the first time! YAY! I voted for Obama-Biden :) I went with my Mom today to vote. I went in the botoh and stood there looking at the machine trying to figure out how to work it. I then see directions for the lever and try to figure it out! It's not as easy as it looks! I was about to call my Mom in to help me, but I got it. Then my Mom and the guy who was helpign with the machine were like "what are you doing in there?" I thought I had to move the lever everytime you voted for someone! oopppsss...it was really funny lol

The Creativity Retreat-The Empowerment Center-Goshen, NY November 1st-November 2nd

The weekend of November 1st and November 2nd our Creativity Learning Community (FLC) went on an overnight retreat in Goshen, NY at The Empowerment Center. Aisha, Sam, Conrad, Damian, Travis, and me drove up with Mike. Let's just say we didn't know what kidn of car ride we were in for! We HAD NO choice of the music we HAD to listen to Bob Dylan ALL the WAY! We had some breaks witrh John LEnnon, thank goodness! Then Miek deicded to take a little 2 and 1/2 hour detour! A little is an understatement! We passed the same cows and apple & pupmkin place atleast 5 times! We left Molloy at 9:30 and it's suppose to be an 1 hour 1/2 to 2 hours, not with Mike! Mike "claimed" this was part of the retreat. We got to The Empowerment Center at 1:50! If Mike would of just got off at exit 126 like everyone told him to as per the directions, we wouldn't of been lost for numberous hours! THe retreat was a lot of fun! We all took a walk through the woods and saw a lot of fall fooliage. After the woods walk, Don, Julie & ME played Travis, Aisha, & Briand in basketball. What a game! Surprisingly (idk how) we won, 7-5! We then went on the swings and the sldie as if we were 5 years old again, but it was so much fun! That night duringthe bonfire, Aisha dressed up in her halloween costume, which was a werewolf! She krept into bushes and acutally sacred Don because he thought someone was acutally in the bushes. He then went right behind Jess during as she leaned over the fire to make her s'more and sacred her so badly, she screamed! During the bonfire we got locked out of the hosue! Thanks to Brain we were able to get back in, I believe Mike locked us out. The next day we did a few activities and got ready to leave. Would you know 1 minute after we left Mike got us lost already, but it was only for about 8 minutes, thank goodness! The retreat was a lot of fun!

"Pulling-A-Jill"

Lately, everyone around me seems to think whatever stupid thing I do, such as hitting my head on the wall or something stupid like that is funny. Therefore, they've deicded if they do something stupid like this it's called "Pulling-A-Jill". Last week I was laughing really hard and I threw my head back and hit it REALLY HARD on the booth in Wilbur Lobby. That's how all of this started. The other day Bruce was at work and was moving boxes and said he hoped he didn't "Pull-A-Jill"! This whole saying is to make fun of me! If anyone tripped it was don't "Pull-A-Jill" and so on and so forth! lol it's kind of funny though...

"F-R-E-E...S-P-O-N-T-A-E-U-S"

OK....so we have to be "F-R-E-E and S-P-O-N-T-A-E-U-S" with our writing...sicne we're finishing up our blogs, but I'm still going to write on my blog, but different things and a few times a week...anyways, as we were talking in class it's hard to be spontaeus and free because we ALWAYS have things to do and we're always worried about what others will think. I honestly don't care what others think about me! I am, who I am and who I want to be. In class Mike asked me today, "why am I always so happy and energertic?" my answer was just because! I LOVE being in a good mood, who doesn't. Of course, just like everyone esle I have my bad days (such as yesterday, Tuesday, it was an off day!), but I always try to look on the bright side and not let everything bother me. When I'm in a good mood I get more done, my relationships are much better, and I JUST FEEL GREAT! When someone is in a good mood it's kind of conatigous. You get so much more out of life and out of the day! I feel I'm a better person when I'm energertic and in a good mood. I'm always energetic! It kind of goes with always being in a good mood. I LOVE helping people and just being "full-of-life". When you have a "ball-fo-energy" inside you, you can't help to spread it! It's fulfilling and fun! Such as today, in the SDC (Student Development Center) Jess Bergy & I were listening and singing to High School Musical 3 songs, of course and I left the room to ask Steve a question and to no surprise Chris Leporte goes to the computer and turns off the msuci! G-R-R-! I went to go bother him and he picked me up and threw me over his shoulders like, "a Dad does to his younger daughter". On top of the fact I was upside down I couldn't stop laughing then he threw me in the air at the cieling and I was still laughing. I could of fallen straight to the ground and seriosully gotten hurt, but I couldn't help, but laugh so hard my eyes were tearing. Loretta, Carol-Anne, Lean, & Mike were more nervous and afraid for me then I was! lol

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3

On Friday October 24th I saw High School Musical 3 in theatres the day it came out of course because anyone who knows me...knows I'm OBSESSED!
I saw HSM 3 with Bruce, Sarah, & Sarah's friend Pam. I really liked the movie, but was a little disappointed. I think it was a little to cocky for it's own good. Such as during the first song "Now or Never" they were playing a basketball game for the championships and all of a sudden Troy (Zac Efron) just started singing out of nowhere! unrealistic! There were several incidents during the movie that this kind of "thing" occured. I LOVED THE MUSIC & DANCING! IT WAS PHENOMINAL! If the movie didn't have as many cocky situations in the movie it would of been the BEST! Part of it could be I'm a little older now and notice it more...who knows...? Other then that I really enjoyed it. I like ow High School Musical 1, 2, and 3 brought back musicals to our (my) generation since Grease 1 and 2.

The Forest

a girl was walking all alone in the forest near her house
she was distracted by what she was thinking about
her mind was racing...she had so much on her plate
being involved in cluds, keeping a high enough GPA, having a boyfriend, & etc..
if you knew her you would know she was always happy & smiling and never would of thought about just jumping in the river & drowning
She was very stressed, but didn't know who to talk to or what to do
she tried to pretend everything was ok...but it wasn't
she decided the hell with everything and jumped into the river
she was NEVER FOUND! All her parents found were her flip-flops...

"If you dream it, you can do it."

"If you dream it, you can do it."
-Walt Disney

Walt Disney's quote, "If you dream it, you can do it" is one of my favorite because if we out on our mind to it we can do A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G! Many people especially nowadays give-up to easily. If they don't get it on the first or second try they give-up. That's not how it works! Even though we'll fail or get turned down several times we have to keep going. That's what makes it so much more rewarding! When we finally reach our dream & goal its a GREAT FEELING! The higher we set our goals the higher our dreams go and the more determined we are. (or should be) If everyone just gave up on the first or second time we wouldn't have much today! We must always try hard, reach for the stars, and kn ow if we dream about it we CAN DO IT!

Inner-self

Switzerland & Italy Trip February 2008

One of the best trips I EVER went on was to Switzerland & Italy with my high school. I went with then all of my bff's. Some of us are still friends, but times changed. Anyway, we did so much! Over our winter break of senior year we left on February 14th, Valentine's Day. I was SOOOO EXCITED!!!! I counted down months, weeks, days, hour, & minutes just until we left school. Our flight from JFK to Switzerland was about 9 hours. It was VERY LONG! We landed 7:00 am Switzerland time, since there was a 6 hour time difference therefore, it was 1:00 am in New York. It was a whole new day. We were in Switzerland for 2 days. On the second day we went on top of Mount Pilatus. It was BREATH-TAKING, literally & figuratively. We went to Church there also and it was in German, just a little hard to understand, but it was interesting to see how Mass was done in Europe. Right before Mass all of us were near the Lake (Lake Lucerne) and we were looking at the ducks. There were steps to go right into the lake if u wanted to. We walked in a few & we stopped at the step right before and the ducks cam so close they almost attacked us and were attacking each other! When we went to Italy we went to Verona, Venice, Florence, Assisi, Pisa, Rome, & drove threw many cities such as Milan & Tuscany. While we were in Venice we saw a glass show. The Murano Glass Factory is very popular in Venice and we saw how they make the glass. When we were in Florence we saw the infamous "David Statue" and various museums. When we were in Assisi we walked & explored a medieval & "haunted" castle. While we were in Rome we saw and went inside the Coliseum. Also, we went to the Vatican. I went all the way to the TOP of the Vatican the view was ASTONISHING! We saw many museums while we were in Europe for the 10 days. Our last night in Rome (our last night of the trip) we went out for a really nice Italian dinner with music & entertainment. We went to the Spanish Steps & The Trevi Fountain. While at the Trevi Fountain we all got gelatto and my friends and i looked for the gelatto shop that Hilary Duff went to when they filmed "The Lizzie McGuire Movie". THE TRIP WAS UNFORGETTABLE! I HAD SO MUCH FUN! I WILL NEVER FORGET THE MEMORIES THAT WERE MADE ON THAT TRIP!

Bob Dylan in "poetic form"

Raspy voice
takes away some of the enjoyment
lyrics w/much meaning, hard to understand
can't understand the meaning of some songs because I wasn't born
listening & reading the lyrics gives me an idea what was going on
the lyrics were magnificent, but how do we know they're true?
Bob Dylan write a lot about war & the hard times
He had several different sides to him
everyone liked him for different reasons
there were "different" personalities he had of him-self
each representing completely different "people"

2nd DRAFT

a girl was walking on the beach by her-self around 12:00 midnight
the beach was really dark she could barely see her 2 feet in front of her
she enjoyed the quite and time alone because she had so much on her mind
school, work, family, friends, boyfriend, change , and the FUTURE
everyone knew her as an energetic, fun-loving girl, always willing to help, always smiling, but on the inside she was another person, she hated who she was, she thought she was putting on an "act", she was very overwhelmed
she just wanted to break-down and let it all out, she left as if she was losing control and would NEVER gain it back again!
her best friend went away to school and she was having a tough time adjusting from the transition from high school to college
her and her boyfriend were on and off all summer and she couldn't take it any more..she found out after graduation her boyfriend was cheating on her and he apologized and she accepted it and it went back and forth all summer long until that night she ended it!
all she wanted to was go back in time and hit the "pause" button
she was sitting on the sand of the beach and where the water could reach her feet
she decided she HAD ENOUGH...!
she screamed as loud as she could several times and the end result of that was her crying...
after sitting their she decided she wanted to END IT ALL!
she jumped into the water and ENDED IT ALL THERE
her parents were worried when she didn't come...
around 3:00 am her parents went looking for her and couldn't find her
they called her name...no response
they found her shirt soaking wet on the shore
they called the police IMMEDIATELY!
they searched the beach all night and the next day
they had search dogs all over the beach and police on boats looking for a young 18 year old girl
about 6:00 pm that day they found her body come up on the shore!
the police checked out the body and discovered she committed suicide!

"A Time Of..."

summer days have come & gone
days just laying by the pool & on the beach
seemed so long ago
staying up all night & sleeping all day
having pool parties & bbqs
not having to worry about studying for a test or writing a paper
taking sudden road trips to the Hampton's & the Jersey Shore
day dreaming of the cute guy on the beach
calling friends up and saying lets go out on a suddens notice
not worrying about what to wear to school
shorts, t-shirts, & bikini's all summer long
having camp fires & singing sing-a-longs
starting to realize you weren't going to be in the same school any more, and some of your best friends were dorming...they wouldn't be in your lunch or homeroom any more
trying to capture the last few weeks until Christmas break when everyone would be home again just like it used to be
except when you walked into almost ANY store in the 2nd week of July there were school supplies...EVERYWHERE!
as Labor Day weekend came everyone realized the summer was over :(
here comes another school year...

The girl who walked along the beach and was NEVER seen AGAIN!

a girl was walking on the beach by her-self around 12:00 midnight
the beach was really dark she could barely see her 2 feet in front of her
she enjoyed the quite and time alone because she had so much on her mind
school, work, family, friends, boyfriend, change , and the future
her best friend went away to school and she was having a tough time adjusting from the transition from high school to college
her and her boyfriend were on and off all summer and she couldn't take it any more
all she wanted to was go back in time and hit the "pause" button
she was sitting on the sand of the beach and where the water could reach her feet
she decided she HAD ENOUGH...!
she screamed as loud as she could several times and the end result of that was her crying...
after sitting their she decided she wanted to END IT ALL!
she jumped into the water and ENDED IT ALL THERE
her parents were worried when she didn't come...
around 3:00 am were parents went looking for her and couldn't find her
they called her name...no response
they found her shirt soaking wet on the shore
they called the police IMMEDIATELY!
they searched the beach all night and the next day
they had search dogs all over the beach and police on boats looking for a young 18 year old girl
about 6:00 pm that day they found her body come up on the shore!
the police checked out the body and discovered she committed suicide!

The HORROR Dream

When I'd fall asleep at night I would have wonderful dreams
not when I go to sleep I have HORRIBLE NIGHTMARES!
I try not to sleep at night to avoid the awful nightmares, but that's controllable
I;ve noticed even during the day now when I;m wide awake I'm having these horrible vivid dreams
I can't get ride of them
the harder I try, the worse they are
I see you chasing me with a sledge-hammer
as I continue to run faster you keep gaining speed
eventually I just give up and you GET ME!
I WAKE UP! wanting to jump out of my skin!
I can't take it any more, waking up all raddled and in tears
I'm afraid to do anything because I can't tel lthe difference any more if it's real or in my dreams?...

As I walk through the dark alley by my-self on a cold wintry night
I see a shadow following me, I look behind me and no one's there
I feel someone behind, but looked again to find on one
I start running down the alley and hear footsteps running behind me
I start breathing heavily and running out of breathe
wondering when s he going to stop following
he's gaining speed and reaches out to grab my arm
i keep running 'till i fall to the ground and slip on ice
he slipped on the ice and fell on top of me
I tried squirming away and he reaches for my leg
I try pulling away and he pulled on my leg harder
i finally gained some strengthen to run further
he caught me again and threw me to the floor
I passed out!
I woke up in the ambulance, disorientated and confused
wondering what just happened...
I still don't know what happened?!....

BLACKED OUT!

I look out my window & see you standing there
I think it's a dream, but every time I look you're still there
I run away from my window and feel like you're chasing me
As I run faster & faster I feel you're gaining speed
I can't run any more, out of breathe, I fell to the floor
I wake up in a hospital bed wondering what happened?
everyone looking over my bed, asking me "Am I alright?"

How do you know...L-O-V-E-?

How do you know when you're in love?
How do you know he's the "RIGHT" one for you?
that you're not making a mistake?

"A Time Of..."

You moved out at such a young age
you come over and visit and I would block the door so you couldn't leave
I didn't know why you never stayed any more
when you would "show-up" I would run over to you, but what did I know at the age of 6
I would throw tantrums when you were suppose to leave
listening to you yell & scream I covered my ears and hide under the table hiding from the noise
I WAS suppose to look up to you, but you were NEVER there more than an hour and a half, maybe once or twice
you couldn't even keep the promise of coming to visit
I expected so much and got so little from you...

Unspeakable

When you walk by me, my heart starts pounding as if a pile of bricks are falling
once you're in my mind I can't get you out of my mind just like my Disney vacation
looking back at pictures I can't flip the photo album past the page of you & me
when I hear your name, and it's not even you I freeze, as if I'm an iceberg
you left such an imprint on me it'll never decay

Bob Dylan's Music

The first time I remember hearing about Bob Dylan was when 1 of my friends and I were going to "Adventures in Learning", a Campus Ministry activity. Since there weren't many students who went that day we didn't take the school van or bus. The teacher, Mr. McDermott, drove us to the school in his car and I remember when I went to go sit down there was this HUGE book of BOB DYLAN LYRICS. Along with the book of lyrics, 1 of CDs was playing in the car. Ever since then whenever I think of Bob Dylan I think of that day. Anyways, I'm not a BIG fan of Bob Dylan because of his voice, but as I was reading the lyrics and listening to the music the lyrics are amazing! If you focus just on the lyrics you kind of "tune out" his raspy voice. I also enjoyed his electric band better then his acoustic days. While I was reading the lyrics I realized I could relate to some of the situations, but also even though some of them were geared back to the 60s and 70s, I was able to understand what was going on during that time period. One of my favorite songs is "Forever Young" from 1973 because it reminds us of some of the positives such as, "may your wishes come true". We should always try our best. If we don't "aim for the stars" we'll only get half-way to where we want to go. If we aim as high as possible everything is possible! One of my favorite 2 lines from "Lay Lady Lay", 1969 is "Why wait any longer for the one you love, when he's standing in front of you." I think these 2 lines means to take chances and don't give up an opportunity and don't be afraid. IF we don't take chances we'll NEVER know what "would of, could of, should of" happened. I'm not a huge fan of changes, but for the most part they've always worked out for me even when I didn't think it would work out!

A Promise

I counted on you to be there
You promised you would be at my dance recital, but didn't show
You said "I promise, I'll be home", but you weren't
You promised everything will be normal, but they weren't
You promised you would always be there
You made so many promises and never came through on ANY of them!
Why should I believe anything you say when you can't keep 1 promise?!

Strengthen

When I think of you tears come to my eyes
knowing I'll never see you again
all of the pain you've been through and no relief insight
how will you ever get through it?
I admire you through your courage and strengthen to make it through
know I'll always be here for you

MSG Retreat Weekend

The MSG weekend was LOADS OF FUN! The weekend was GREAT! We left from school on Friday afternoon and went to Plainsboro, NJ. On Friday night we had a workshop, dinner, and free time. The free time consisted of Kevin playing on the piano and singing Disney songs. (it was a group effort) Saturday was workshops, group work, and free time. During our free time we sang more songs and played a game and split among 2 teams. Sunday we had a workshop and come home. Even though the weekend retreat was short we had a lot of fun! The most important part of it was we "grew" closer as friends and more towards a family. We all listened to each others ideas, joked around, laughed at each, and just had fun! We bonded as a whole and that helps us build a connection.

"You Don't have the Right to Bore Me"

The screaming, yelling, and storming out when I was younger
there were triple the amount of days when you were gone from when you were "HOME"
I don't have any memories of you
you left when we were all at such a young age
its always been the 6 of us
I've always wanted someone in my life to be the "role" you were suppose to be
I finally found that person, but to no surprise it wasn't you!

"Belly of the Beast"

after what happened,
how can I forgive you?
every sight of you makes me PUKE
the memories we had together are ALL WASHED-AWAY
after you lied and "back-stabbed" me how can I ever believe you?
after what you did I NEVER want to see you AGAIN!
you put me through heart-ache and sorrow, that doesn't bother you
when you get hurt don't come crying to me
you say you'll be there, but what a surprise you weren't
good-byes are sometimes meant to be!

'...Memories..."

High school flew by in 4 years
sitting at orientation in the auditorium
sitting at graduation in C.W. Post
meeting new people
leaving people
saying good-bye was never EASY
we've made friends
we've lost friends
the impressions people left
will NEVER fade away
the lessons we learned
the memories we took with us
will never leave us...

"Missing You"

when I look back at pictures
i can't help, but to cry
not seeing you everyday
i think of the times we shared
the jokes that were made
the times we just didn't do anything,
but had so much fun
when we would just talk about nothing
we've had our share of heartache,
but made through it
through thick and thin
we were always there
countless nights on the phone
our walks together
then it seemed so far away
but now it's arrived
missing you is much harder then I'd ever thought

Tara<33

When I look at pictures I think of that day, what happened, where was I, who was I with, etc...I've been talking to one of my BEST FRIENDS from high school and we have a lot of jokes no one understands except us! We met each other from another friend of ours before out freshmen year of high school and we've been friends since. During our freshmen year of high school we didn't have many classes together, but that all changed in sophomore year. Our schedules were basically identical! We would sit next to each other in chemistry and our chem teacher gave us the nickname "BUDDY". She would always refer to one of us as where's you buddy or where's your other half? We were inseparable! During our junior year we didn't have as many classes together, but we did have 1 of our favorite classes Mr. H's Spanish class :) Is class was definitely unique without a doubt, but it was a TON of FUN! During our Junior & Senior year we were involved in Sports Night, and the both of us were NUTS, but if you knew the both of us, you'd agree! :) During our senior year we went to Switzerland & Italy together! A trip of a lifetime! Tara attends Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. We were talking tonight and we kept reminiscing about high school, our classes, our jokes, EVERYTHING! I thought about all the pictures we have together, also, and realize, even though she's away at school and will be home soon you take for granted when people are home! You think even though they'll be home on school breaks and a long weekend, you don't realize how much you'll miss them, until you don't see them everyday! I miss you Tara!<33>

The Beach Trip

as we sit on the beach
our feet are wet from the water
the sand is in between our toes
we start scratching from mosquitoes
the sun is above us
as we sit on the rocks
Dr. Russo' takes pictures
as we sit and listen to the water
calming as the waves crash

"Imagine"

Imagine your possibilities
If you believe anything is possible
Dreams can come true if you put your mind to it
Nothing is impossible

"My Favorite Things"

My favorite Things (not in order):

1. High School Musical Build-a-Bear
I love my High School Musical build-a-bear for many reasons. Over the summer on one of our many trips into the city my Mom took us build-a-bear workshop in NYC, the BIGGEST BUILD-A-BEAR store in the WORLD! As most people who know me know, I'm OBSESSED WITH EVERYTHING HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! My Mom helped my pick out the HSM clothes to but on my bear, by the way her name is "Spirit", we got the HSM messenger bag and the HSM sound in my bear, it has 4 different sayings/sounds.

2. My Pillows
I pillows are have geese-down feathers in them, therefore making them REALLY SOFT AND COMFY. I've had these pillows for several years. I can fall asleep on my pillows anywhere, not just in my bed.

3. Picture Colleague
Last year in Religion, my teacher Mr. Wresen, told us for a homework assignment make a colleague of pictures about ourself or write a 1 paragraph describing ourselves. For me it was easier to make the colleague, because I'd have to write to much! In my colleague there's pictures of my family in Disney, my Cat, Bob, some of my Sweet 16, some of Junior Prom, the Marist Youth Encounter I went on in my Junior year, Freshmen Camp pictures, when I went back as a Senior Leader, and some scenic pictures. As usual, there were Disney stickers on my colleague.

4. PINK BEAR & PANDA BEAR<333333
I've had Pink Bear and Panda Bear since I was 3. I got them at Macy's in Manhasset. Pink Bear and Panda Bear are 2 of my OLDEST stuff animals and the 2 stuff animals that I will never give up. I remember when i was in Nursery, Pre-K, and Kindergarten I would take them with me to school all the time, especially for nap time. When I was younger I couldn't sleep without them. I will still have them when I have kids!

5. My Bag
I love bags. I'm always looking for new bags. I lost count of how many bags I have, but I love all the different types, styles, colors, sizes, all that stuff.

6. Fluffy Minnie
People who know me, know that I LOVE DISNEY! When I went to Disney 2 summers ago, I bought a pink-baby Minnie and she's really soft and fluffy! She's so comfy you could use her as a pillow. Like a lot of my other stuff animals she sleeps on my bed with me and she reminds me of my trip to Disney with my Mom and 4 brothers.

7. CHICKY!<333
My Mom gave my 2 nicknames when I was a baby. Jilly Bean & Chicky. When I was a baby I had a stuff animal named Chicky. She would sing the Easter Song and she had a little rainbow egg in front of her. When 1 of my twin brothers was a baby, he was sick and throwing up and all of his stuff animals were dirty since he was sick. SO my Mom said, "Jill, let him sleep with Chicky otherwise he won't sleep." I kept persisting no because I knew he was going to throw up again. My Mom kept saying no he wasn't, but of course he did! I had to throw Chicky out :( About 10-12 years ago we were in a store at Easter time and My Mom and I found another "Chicky". That Easter My Mom got me her.

8. Charm Bracelet
For my confirmation, as 1 of my gifts my Mom got me a charm bracelet and at every milestone she gets me a new charm. The charms I have on my bracelet are (not in order): for my 13th birthday, 18th birthday, Sweet 16, Confirmation-Cross, a dancer, a girl, a snowman, a Christmas stocking, "I Love You Nana", a Teddy Bear, 8th grade graduation, High School graduation, every milestone or special occasion my Mom gets me a new charm.

9. My Journal
For my 18th birthday, one of my favorite teachers, Mrs. Kennedy, gave me a journal. Since then I've written poetry in it or if I just need to write and get things out of my mind that's where I can do it.

10. My iPod
Last Christmas my Mom got me the new apple nano video iPod. I really like my iPod because whenever I'm in a bad mood and don't want to talk about it all I have to do is watch a movie on my iPod (yes, there's HSM movies & all the songs on my iPod) or listen to music and I fell much better. Also, since I drive my own car now I plug in my iPod into my car and BLAST IT! :)

11. St. Mary's High School Yearbook-Class of 2008 :)
My yearbook is really important to me because of what certain people wrote in it and just all of the memories I have in it! Every time I look at my yearbook and look at a certain picture I remember everything that happened at that moment and just laugh about it.

12. St. Mary's High School's Graduation Ring
We got our graduation rings in November of our Junior year. When we received our rings I knew even though we had a while or what seemed a while, to go to graduation, it wasn't, but in a blink of an eye I was walking across the stage at C.W. Post at graduation on Saturday June 7th.

13. Nanie & Poppa Picture<333
This picture is very special to me because it was only a 3 years later when my Poppa got sick and then my Nanie. I don't have many pictures with my Nanie and Poppa when I was much older because they were sick.

14. My Communion Ring
When I made Communion in 2nd grade my Nanie got me a ring, with a 2 little flowers and a little heart in the middle. Even though the ring still doesn't fit me today, it's really special because my Nanie got it for me. :)

15. High School Musical 2 DVD
As I stated before, I'm really into High School Musical EVERYTHING! but the DVD in the picture isn't just about HSM it's because along with HSM I'm REALLY INTO MOVIES! I really enjoy watching movies at home, in the theaters, and my 2 favorite things are when my Mom and I have our girls' nights and watch movies or my friends and I all go to someone's house and just watch movies all night. A movie-marathon.

16. Army Wives book
Army Wives is my favorite TV show! My Mom and I watch it together every Sunday night from 10:00-11:00pm. The book represents the show and that I'm reading the book, bur also the fact that i love to read. Sometimes it can be annoying especially if you're not into in for school work, but when I read for my own pleasure I LOVE it!

17. My Camera
I love taking pictures because when the day is done you'll have the pictures to go back and look at it and enjoy. I also love pictures because when years go by and then you find a bunch of old pictures you'll remember everything!

18. Dance Trophy
I've been dancing for 12-13 years. I dance tapp, junior tapp line, jazz, junior jazz line, hip-hop, modern, opening & finale. I love to dance because it expresses another side of yourself. Sometimes the sides many people don't see of you normally.

19. My Stuff Animals
I'm LOVE STUFF ANIMALS. I HAVE SO MANY I CAN'T KEEP THEM ALL ON MY BED OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP ON MY BED :)

20. My Hello Kitty Blanket
My Mom got it for 1 of my presents for my 12th birthday for me. It's so warm and it's fleece, which is really soft!

"My Inspiration"

I've had many different sources of inspiration in my live, such as family, teachers, friends...One of my BIGGEST inspirations ever is MY MOM! My Mom has always been an inspiration to me and will continue to be one for me. She's the BEST person EVER! My Mom has done so much it's mind-blowing! I've always wanted to and will continue to aspire to be just like My Mom. She's raising 5 kids all by her-self, without any help, just for starters! She's ALWAYS been optimistic and NEVER LET anyone or anything stop her. My Mom's a very DETERMINED person and NEVER doubts herself. My Mom is always there for my 4 brothers and myself. She's never missed a dance recital, soccer games, softball games, baseball games, back-to-school nights, bake sales, parties, NOTHING! She's ALWAYS put my brothers and me before herself. I remember in 3rd grade we all dressed up as Saints and went around my elementary school signing "When the Saints Coming Marching In" on Halloween, the day before All Saints Day. I was Mary the Blessed Mother, the weekend before the school event my Mom stayed up all night to make my costume by hand! Sure My Mom could of saved her-self all the time she put into hand-making my costume, but she wanted to make my costume, for me! My Mom's my BIGGEST INSPIRATION because of who She is, the lessons She's taught me, and what she believes. MOST IMPORTANTLY FOR MY MOM BEING WHO SHE IS! I LOVE MY MOM! xoxo :)

The Pivot Questionnaire

What is your favorite word?

Believe. Believe is my favorite word because you can do whatever you want and dream as long as you believe!

What is your least favorite word?

Stupid. I don't have a top # 1 least favorite word, but "stupid" is right up there.

What turns you on, excites, or inspires you creatively, spiritually, or emotionally?

When I'm out hanging out with my friends and beign around people inspires my creativity because when I'm with my friends I just act my-self. I don't but a "mask" on for anyone. Aslo, when I'm with people I don't know I don't act any differently, then my-self because if people don't like you for who you are, then it's not worth having them in your life.

What turns you off?

I'm turned off by hypocrites. I can't stand people who act like your friend in person then talk about you behind you're back.

What sound or noise do you love?

The sound I love is the ocean.

What sound or noise do you hate?

The noise I hate is yelling.

What is your favorite curse word?

A**h***. It's pointless.

What profession other than you own would you like to attempt?

A teacher. My major is education in special ed w/english. I teach CCD and I really enjoy it! I LOVE workign with kdis. I baby-sit for several of my neighbors over the past 5 1/2 years and the kids are sooooo funny, you learn a lot from them.

What profession would you like to absolutely not participate in?

Chemistry! Even though I've thought about being a pediatric nurse, I HATE chemistry!

If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?

Well I believe heaven exits, I'm not exactly sure what I would want him to say, but maybe this, "everything happens for a reason."

Busy Day

This morning I picked up Faith for school. I got to school around 8:00. I hung up posters for the Band-aid drop. (the band-aid drop is from now until November 7) I had work 9:00-12:00 and I was able to get the computer working without my manager after he tried it. :) I was very happy with my-self :) lol I then had class on the beach, SOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!! I got my nails done. I went hoem for a little while, then went to the back-to-school night at my high school I graduated from for my brothers. I saw 1 of MY FAVORITE TEACHERS EVER! He's much more then that, though. I had to go through my 3 brothers schedules spilit amongst, my Mom, oldest brother, Tommy, and me. Since I got home I've been texting Bruce :) and adding pictures to my blog and watching the news. Now I'm going to go get ready to go to sleep because tomorrow I'm going to pick-up Faith, work, classes, newspaper meeting, and idk what esle... :)

WEST END 2 BEACH FIELD TRIP

Today, for class we went to West End 2 Beach, for a field trip. The trip was A LOT of fun when you take out the "bug running". lol We took SOOOOO MANY PICTURES of so many different things on different angles. I went in the water, and in the beginning it was cold, but once I was in there for a minute or two, it got much better. Sam and Bianca were making me laugh (as you can see in a picture), and I almost fell fave first into the water. We foudn a really big dead helly fish, too. There were a good amount of them actually in the water, today, also. We had to write nature haiku's while we were at the beach. Travis, of course, thought they were "too easy", but then if there so esay, why didn't you write one Travis? :) lol While walking to the water and from the water we encoutenered a swarm of mostiquitos. NOT FUN! When you sit just sit on the beach opposed, toy trying to get a tan or go in the water, you see things differently, more relaxing. :)

Trust

How can we know to trust people?
Just when you think you can trust a person they go behind your back!
Trust MUST be in a relantioship, otherwise it isn't worth having one.
How do you know when you can trust someone and when you can't?

"Close Connections"

So far, during my life I've encountered numberous people who come into my life and stay for awhile and then leave, even people who are always suppose to be there. One person who has alwyas been there for me since I was born is my MOM!My Mom i more then just my Mom, she's my BEST FRIENDm too! I can talk my Mom about EVERYTHING & ANYTHING! When I was younger, when my 4 younger brothers would go to bed we would have a "Girls Night" on Saturday nights. We would watch "ER" and eat Ben & Jerry's Chocoalte Chip & Brownie Fudge ice cream together & talk about everything! My Mom and I were always very cloe ever since I could remember. She always pushed me to do my BEST! Even when I didn't believe in my-self My Mom believed in me. She alwyas taught me to reach for the stars and to believe in my-self because I can do ANYTHING I want as long as I put my heart to it and believed in my-self. My Mom has helped me so much with my self-confidence. Until I was in 8th grade I didn't have much self-confidence in my-self mostly becuase of the kids that were in my grade. My Mom taught me not to care what people think about me and as logn as I'm happy with my-self that's all that matters! My Mom is the strongest person I know! It's alwyas just been My Mom, my 4 younger brothers, and me. My Mom got divorced when I was much younger and had to take care of all 5 of us without any help especially after my Nanie & Popa passed away. Even though my Mom had to raise us all by her-self she's ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR ALL OF US! SHE'S NEVER LET US DOWN! My Mom has been to all of my dance recitals, our soccer games, baseball games, softball games, basketball games, back-to-school nights (5 all on the same night), our school masses, school events, EVERYTHING IN OUR LIVES! MY MOM HASN'T MISSED ANY OF IT! My Mom's favorite time of the year is the Fall and the Holidays. she loves all the festivites. SHE ADORES APPLE & PUMPKIN PICKING! My Mom CAN'T WAIT until we go see te Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall. She's the most enthusiastic the person ever, and even more during the holidays! In December of 2007 my Mom fell really badly! She shattered her knee cap in pieces! My Mom needed surgery withing a week! I had NEVER been this sacred in my life! The one person who had always been there for my brothers and me was really hurt! There was so much going on while this all happened, my borthers and I knew no matter what esle happened we had to be there for Our Mom. She was ALWAYS there for us, and we COULD NEVER let Her down! Within 2 months My Mom had 2 surgeries and it was a slow recovery, but everyweek was a milestone because She had 2 severe knee surgeries in such a short amount of time. I aspire to be just like my Mom EVERY DAY because I BELIEVE SHE'S THE BEST PERSON EVER! She's overcome so MANY obstacles and still puts everyone esle before herself, ALWAYS! I LOVE MY MOM! :)

Papa & Nanie

Why do things happen? I believe in the statement "Things happen for a reason" Well, what happens if soemthing horrible happened and you try looking for the "reason" behind it, but you couldn't find it? Things just kept getting worse!
When I was in the beginning of 6th grade my Papa was diagnosed with bone cancer, but in the 4th stage, therefore, they couldn't do anything for him. He suffered in severe pain for months. Then the dreaded day of November 27th,2001 came and he passed away 1 day after a month until his birthday. When my Papa passed away that was the first time anyone that close to me ever passed away. A year before my Papa died my Nanie had a massive stroke, the doctors didn't expect Her to make it through it. But of course, no surprise to me She made it through it. After my Papa died she continued to have seizures and mini-strokes, in 7th grade she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, there's no cure for it. As time went by we would go see my Nanie in the nursing home, an you could tell She wasn't getting better because she would talk about my Papa, who already passed away, that he came by this morning to visit. She also would alwyas confuse our names, too. My Nanie got very sick from Alzheimer's Disease she became more disoriented as time went on. On January 16th, 2005 my Nanie passed away from Alzheimier's Disease.

How do we know anything is what it is?

How do we know who we are?
Who says our name is what it is?

How do you know it's Thursday night?
Who says its 11:03?
Why are there only 24 hours in a day?
Only 7 days in a week?
How do we know anything is what it is?

TODAY! :)

I has 2 classes today English & Math. After class I went ot my first Molloy Student Government meeting. It was really cool to see how the meetings are ran at Molloy compared to my high school. Then I went to the Community Service Committee Meeting, that was fun, too. It rained crazy today! I felt as if I was back in high school when we had to commute for classes and no one wanted to becaues it was pouring!

"COLLEGE"-An Acrostic Poem

Creating new memories and going through new expeirences
Outgoing personality
Learning new topics and taking new courses
Listening to different people's ideas, advice, and topics
Earning a degree
Graduation has come and gone
Experiences that await us

"The Calm Before the Storm"

When there's a storm brewing everything is peaceful
You can hear everything outdoors moving and the animals lurking around
As you look up at the sky you can see the clouds moving faster and iamgine what you see
The sky has a differnt shade of blue then most days
THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM

WHO AM I?

"Who Am I?" is a common question especially around the ending of high school until the beginning of the college. The question is answered differently based on every person, the age of the person, and how the question is being asked.
When Dr. Russo, asked us to write a paragraph or 2 about "who am I?" on our blogs, I thought of the speech I had to write for Shepherds in my high school, which was titled, "Who Am I?". Over this past summer I thought a lot about how I changed, the people I was friends with, family, who I was as a freshmen going into college opposed to a high school senior.
Right now I know I'm very outgoing, personable, trustworthy, honest, talkative, and ??? I have 4 younger brothers and I', the oldest of 5. I'm a freshmen at Molloy College and LOVE it already! It reminds me of my high school, a very "homie" feeling. I've already started getting very invovled at Molloy. I'm president of the Literary Magazine, staff of the Molloy Forum & Molloy Yearbook, running for Freshmen Class President-MSG, going to join the Education Club, and apart of Campus Ministry. My major is education w/special ed in english. I'm trying to decide if I want to teach younger children or high school. I've always wanted to teach younger children, but since I graduated high school I've been reconsidering what grades I'd like to get my degree in. I have time to figure that out, though.
