The Creativity Retreat-The Empowerment Center-Goshen, NY November 1st-November 2nd

The weekend of November 1st and November 2nd our Creativity Learning Community (FLC) went on an overnight retreat in Goshen, NY at The Empowerment Center. Aisha, Sam, Conrad, Damian, Travis, and me drove up with Mike. Let's just say we didn't know what kidn of car ride we were in for! We HAD NO choice of the music we HAD to listen to Bob Dylan ALL the WAY! We had some breaks witrh John LEnnon, thank goodness! Then Miek deicded to take a little 2 and 1/2 hour detour! A little is an understatement! We passed the same cows and apple & pupmkin place atleast 5 times! We left Molloy at 9:30 and it's suppose to be an 1 hour 1/2 to 2 hours, not with Mike! Mike "claimed" this was part of the retreat. We got to The Empowerment Center at 1:50! If Mike would of just got off at exit 126 like everyone told him to as per the directions, we wouldn't of been lost for numberous hours! THe retreat was a lot of fun! We all took a walk through the woods and saw a lot of fall fooliage. After the woods walk, Don, Julie & ME played Travis, Aisha, & Briand in basketball. What a game! Surprisingly (idk how) we won, 7-5! We then went on the swings and the sldie as if we were 5 years old again, but it was so much fun! That night duringthe bonfire, Aisha dressed up in her halloween costume, which was a werewolf! She krept into bushes and acutally sacred Don because he thought someone was acutally in the bushes. He then went right behind Jess during as she leaned over the fire to make her s'more and sacred her so badly, she screamed! During the bonfire we got locked out of the hosue! Thanks to Brain we were able to get back in, I believe Mike locked us out. The next day we did a few activities and got ready to leave. Would you know 1 minute after we left Mike got us lost already, but it was only for about 8 minutes, thank goodness! The retreat was a lot of fun!

Sounds like a perfect weekend to me....especially the Bob Dylan part!
